Timeless, classic and a sprinkle of glitter flair – that’s what Alexandria planned for her dreamy Kansas City nuptials, and wow did she deliver! You’re going to swoon over these gorgeous photos and her glamorous princess ballgown:
The Proposal
Incredible wedding days always start with a great proposal. For Alexandria and Yoshua, their “yes” moment incorporated all of her favorite things. “Glitter, coffee and Christmas!” she said. “I was going to grad school in Texas when we first started dating and as things got more serious, we agreed that I would move back to where he and all of our family lived over the break. I moved home in December and about a week after I got home he had promised to take me to see Christmas lights. He took me to my favorite coffee shop and then we drove over to a place nearby that had the most amazing light show that you could watch from your car. When it was over he had me get out and on a huge sign off to the side he had written “Alex will you marry me?” I was so excited and quickly said yes! To my surprise, he had also invited all of our family to be there and they got plenty of videos and pictures!”
The Dress
Staying on trend with her love of glitter, Alexandria sought out a gown with glitter flair. “It was really important to me to pick a style that I not only loved now but that I would love to look back on in my pictures for years to come. I also wanted my dress to be different and so I had a special layer of glitter tulle added. This was definitely one of my favorite parts because we had an outdoor wedding and every time the sun hit it, the reflection was ever so sparkly!” Alexandria chose gorgeous glamorous ballgown, Style #6850.

“Ever since I was a little girl, my grandma and I dreamed of going to the store and picking out my dress together. She lives in a different state, so I found a shop open on a Sunday, and me, my mom, sisters, and grandma crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. I had been to a few shops before without any luck and I was sure that I would leave empty-handed. When I tried on this dress I couldn’t help but smile and twirl around the store while I imagined all of the dreams I had as a little girl coming true.”
The Wedding
Alexandria describes her relationship with Yoshua as a “storybook dream come true,” and their wedding was a beautiful chapter! “He truly is my knight in shining armor. We both grew up in the south and so incorporating parts of that into our special day was very important to both of us. The colors were varying shades of dusty and light blue, greys, and all things greenery.” Alexandria said the best moment was hearing each other’s vows. “Marriage is beautiful and those vows mean more to me every day!”
Cheers to an incredible wedding Mr. & Mrs. Baldovinos!
