Trying to evoke the feeling of Christmas morning, real bride Riley had the winter wedding of her dreams! Wearing an off-the-shoulder sleeved Martina Liana wedding dress, this bride said “I do” to her husband in front of 300+ friends in family.
The Proposal
My proposal was perfect and unexpected. We were taking our annual family photos. This time it happened to be in my Great Uncles barn (which is perfect since I am the farmer’s daughter and now farmer’s wife). Our photographer told us both to turn around and write something we loved about each other on our chalkboards. When I turned around Zach was on one knee with the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. I was completely surprised and all of it was caught on camera.
Finding the Perfect Martina Liana Dress
Being a winter bride (since once again I am a farmers wife/daughter so spring/fall just wasn’t going to work for us) I knew I wanted something with sleeves. My dress was actually the very first dress I tried on and every dress after that just didn’t even compare. I got so many compliments on my dress.
The Wedding Details
Everyone knows the feeling you experience on Christmas morning. That’s exactly how we wanted our wedding to feel. We turned our reception hall into a winter wonderland. My bridesmaids wore Christmas red and the boys wore red to match and Christmas socks. Our favorite detail was our alternative to a guest book. Instead, we had our guests sign an ornament and hang it on the tree. Now every year we will hang the ornaments on our tree and read the messages our loved ones left for us and reminisce. All of our decorations turned out just the way we wanted.
Our most special memory from the day will always be having all of our friends, family, and loved ones in the same place. Even with 300+ people it just wouldn’t have been the same without them.
