DARIA, TELL US ABOUT YOUR PARTNER. HOW DID YOU MEET?
Isiah and I were high school sweethearts, bonding over our shared love for track. Running together laid the foundation for our love story.
His proposal was pure magic—an intimate moment in Central Park, NYC, surrounded by our close friends and family. It felt so true to us. Laughter is a huge part of our relationship, and we knew our wedding day would be full of joy and laughter.
DESCRIBE YOUR BRIDAL STYLE. TELL US ABOUT YOUR DRESS SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.
I envisioned myself in a form-fitting dress that perfectly highlighted my shape, embracing both elegance and grace. After trying on numerous styles, Martina Liana Style 1362 stood out—making me feel like a bride the moment I saw my reflection. The gown encapsulated the romance and significance of the day, creating an unforgettable memory.
IN YOUR OWN WORDS, TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING.
When Isiah first saw me in my wedding dress, he couldn’t help but smile and tell me how beautiful I looked; I truly felt I made the right decision, choosing my gown. On my wedding day, I not only felt like a bride but a cherished wife.
Our love has always felt like a fairytale, so a whimsical garden-themed wedding was truly on brand for us. We wanted our wedding to be an intimate celebration, full of laughter and down-to-earth moments that reflected who we are. Both having Caribbean roots, we incorporated our culture in the most vibrant way. When the dance floor opened, we handed out Guyanese and Trinidadian flags to family and friends, turning it into a real party.
One of the most special memories of the day was seeing everyone we loved waving those flags and celebrating with us. It was a beautiful blend of our cultures and personalities and felt incredibly personal to our love story. The whole day was a perfect mix of tradition and modernity, steeped in the love and joy we share.
Cheers to Daria and Isiah!
