Real Stella York bride Amanda’s vintage romance wedding has us swooning! After years of dating, Jason popped the question on Christmas Eve and after a long engagement, these two lovebirds tied the knot in a sentimental, DIY wedding. Playing into her romantic theme, Amanda’s vintage-inspired wedding dress by designer Stella York had lovely long lace sleeves and an open illusion back. Her soft color palette gave the whole ceremony a very vintage vibe – which we are obsessing over! Read more for Amanda’s amazing wedding!
From the bride: Jason proposed to me on Christmas Eve in 2015. We had been together 9 years. While exchanging gifts I turned away from him to pick up something from under the tree. When I turned back around he was on one knee. It was definitely a Christmas to remember!
Most of our family lives in Pensacola. It’s such a beautiful place to live so we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. We both wanted something outdoors with an indoor option for a reception. We looked at many venues before finding our dream venue! It was the perfect mix of romantic and natural. We had 16 months to plan our wedding which was nice because we could take our time. My advice is take your time and enjoy planning. Add your own little touches that will make the day truly yours. I did a few DIY projects that I knew I could do like printing wedding program fans, labeling and filling our honey jar favors, and printing photos to hang in a frame.
My favorite part of our wedding was seeing my husband for the first time while walking down the aisle. It’s like no one else was there. Seeing the look on his face is one that I will always remember!
