Set in a gorgeous Colorado, Martina Liana bride Courtney and her groom Scott said “I do.” Filled with personal touches and sleek sequin bridesmaids, Courtney’s custom bridal look was the icing on the cake at this sentimental wedding. Pairing the Carys Corset with the Stevie Skirt, Courtney looked ever the part of the blushing bride.
From the bride: Scott proposed on a Thursday night in January, in Colorado. Not something I ever expected. I came home from work and immediately noticed his mood was off, but couldn’t quite place it. I asked if he wanted to walk the dog and he agreed. When we both started suiting up for the cold walk, Scott began to pace – back and forth down the hallway. It was odd. We took the dog out for our usual walk around Denver’s Washington Park. Not even half way through the walk Scott asked, “hey, you wanna go sit on that bench over there?” Well…in all honestly, no, not in this 32-degree weather do I want to sit on that metal bench for seemingly no reason. So, I naturally responded with, “Sure!” The rest is history.
Our wedding was on a decent budget, but a budget. We toured dozens of venues and my spreadsheet was out of control. But when we toured Lionscrest, we knew. We thought it was still high or above budget, but it felt and seemed right. It was amazing. My favorite part of our wedding was a tie. Between twirling for my groom at our first look and showing him my amazing wedding skirt, and standing with my groom during the ceremony, listening to the beautiful program our officiant was reading, laughing and gripping his hands with joy, there was just so much I loved about our wedding.
We want to share with everyone that a wedding isn’t something that is done one way, it should be done YOUR way. All choices, details, decisions, everything is up to the bride and groom. It is your wedding, your marriage, your new life. It is incredible to have such supportive friends and family, but sometimes your decisions don’t always jive. Remembering it is about the bride and groom, and what they want is what is key!
