Elizabeth and Justin’s wedding completely captured their love for another! They wed on a gorgeous cattle ranch in Knoxville, Tennessee. Read all about Elizabeth’s wedding day details and adorable backyard proposal:
“We got engaged on 11.11.17 in our backyard. I had been traveling for work, and if I am being honest dreaded coming home for fear of the house being a total disaster (Justin HATES cleaning!) I walked in the door and the entire house was spotless! One problem, I couldn’t find Justin (or the dog) anywhere. I finally noticed a large fire in the backyard, so I walked outside to find Justin standing in front of a newly constructed fire pit. He tossed a bone over to our dog to distract him, then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I could barely get out a yes before I started crying out of shock! We grilled steaks and veggies on the fire and enjoyed a bottle of wine to celebrate. It is a day I will never forget.”
Their personalized proposal translated to their rustic chic theme and perfectly personalized big day details. “We held the event at working cattle ranch – Riverview Family Farm. The venue fit our personalities perfectly. We love being outside all the time, so the ability to host the ceremony outside and move the reception inside a beautiful barn was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. We went with cranberry, navy, and champagne for our color scheme. We had personal touches scattered throughout the event. Our good friend made our cake, he is a professional baker. We had a memory table to honor those who couldn’t be with us. We played the song ‘I only want to be with you’ by Volbeats (heavy metal) during the ceremony because it is the song that played in the background of our engagement.”
Elizabeth wore Stella York Style #6391. She said the wedding dress shopping process was easy and fun at her bridal boutique, White Lace and Promises. “I picked out 5 or 6 dresses and went to try them on. My dress was the first dress I tried on that day. I knew the second I put it on that it was my dress. I decided to try on the rest of the dresses (my mom, aunt, and sister were loving it), but I knew I had already found my dress. After the other dresses, I put mine back on and started crying. Debbie, from White Lace, quickly grabbed me a veil so I could get a better idea of the full look. After I decided, she brought me a little cupcake with a candle welcoming me to the White Lace Family. The entire experience from top to bottom was incredible.
