The first thing to note about save-the-dates is that they do not have to be cards! Less formal than wedding invitations, save-the-dates can be magnets, photographs, gift boxes with surprises inside – anything that communicates your unique style as a couple.
Whatever your style, your save-the-dates should be fun and memorable. Here are 15 creative save-the-date ideas to get you started:

When to send save-the-date cards
Ideally, you will want to send your guests save-the-date cards two to four months before your wedding. If you will be inviting international guests, work toward sending your save-the-dates six months in advance. This will allow them to secure airfare at a reduced rate.
Save-the-dates are the perfect way to add a little fun and personality – especially if you’re having a more formal wedding with traditional invitations.
